The Congress will bring the genetic and genomic communities together to examine the theme: Genetics and Genomics – Linking Life and Society highlighting the breadth of the Congress in covering fundamental discoveries in our science and applications to health, agriculture and the environment.  The program will be led by the very best researchers from around the globe, including Nobel Prize winners, who will speak on contemporary and future advances in genetics and genomics.  The biggest prize in Genetics, the Gruber Prize worth $500,000 USD will be presented at the Melbourne Congress.  Over 120 invited speakers from around the world will present in the 54 symposia sessions focused on six core themes in genetics and genomics.
